OK, I felt like starting a thread, is that okay? I just wanted to know everybody's opinion on Jacob/Renesmee... I think it's kinda weird, sorry. It's very creative I guess lol... But I dooo nooot like the name, Renesmee... C'mon! Everybody's names are like...normal. Carlisle and Esme aren't, but those are pretty names... But Renesmee... blugh! Sorry for the people who like the name, my opinion

I think it's cute but is pretty cliche....Maybe Stephenie didn't want to think of a new name so said, "Renee.....Esme.....Renesmee!!!" I'm not really sure how I feel about it. At the time I first read the 4th book, I was wrapped up in all this Twilighty goodness that I just thought it was adorable and stuff. But what I think was the creative, interesting part was that Jacob's "intinct" or something knew to stay around Bella cause his "true love" was a part of her. I thought that around about the end of bella's book was when things when wayyy downhill.

Well, they're not my fave couple -I won't be reading fics about them, I won't do art for them. They just don't interest me enough, but I do like them. I get the whole imprint thing, unlike a bunch of people right after the book release. I know that there was this huge group of people who were all disgusted by it, saying it was pedo and stuff, but it's really not. The love that Jacob has for Nessie (sorry, can't say her full name, it's just too ridiculous. Bella's too smart to have come up with such a frikkin dumbass name. JMO.) isn't a romantic love at the moment. He's not lusting after her, he knows that it's his job to protect her, and be there for her no matter what she needs. Later on, it will turn into a romantic love, but not while she's still a child. Too many people don't understand that part, but I'm totally okay with it. They are truly soulmates IMO.
And part of me is really happy that Jacob and Bella get to stay a part of each other's lives, and continue to be best friends -as that's what I love them as. It's a perfect solution since the wolves will never age as long as the vampires are around -so as long as he and Nessie are together, he will live forever too. I like it. LOL
But while saying that, I have to admit that the whole concept of Nessie bugs the hell out of me. My romantic side is thrilled that Bella and Edward had their HEA which included have a baby together. But my Vamp loving side is going "OH COME ON! VAMPIRES CAN'T HAVE BABIES STEPHENIE!!!" So, while I'm glad they were able to have that, I also hate it. LOL
And the name is just too ridiculous, as I stated above. I don't care how much you love your parents, and want to name your only child after them, you don't combine their names like that! No, just.... NO. LOL

Okay, the whole "bella getting pregnant" thing from a, I guess you would say, a scientific POV does not make logical sense at all.
To be perfectly frank, wouldn't Edward not be able to physcially produce the sperm needed to create Renesmee? I mean, he's a vampire who's stopped grow and doesn't have a working heartbeat or anything like that. I know that Carlise said that female vampires can't have children because they're frozen in time. So that also stops any growth for males but they can still have children with humans? It's odd.
Was that just a crazy rant or did I make any sense?

No, it makes perfect sense! Which is another reason I'd like to know just Steph was smoking (as well as the editors/publishers that allowed it) when she wrote it!! LOL
I believe I read somewhere (can't for the life of me remember where, since it was a year ago) her explaination when it was questioned. She stated that the venom replaces the fluids in the human body when they're changed -tears ('cept, they can't cry, can they? ) , bodily fluids, etc (which just makes you go -'so how'd he still have semen', if it should have changed to venom, right? ) Anyway... their bodies don't change from the time they're turned, so a female vamp can't allow a baby to grow in their body, they're "stone" -never changing. Apparently, in her opinion, the semen would have just been sitting there in Edward's body all these years, just waiting for it's use in reproducing. *snickers* Good thing we know that Edward's a bit of a prude, and wouldn't have jacked off in all those years and spent it, huh? *snort*
It's really just another reason to believe Stephen King's opinion. Cuz come on, her explaination is soooo full of holes it's ridiculous! Everything she said about it, contradicted facts she's spent three years telling us in the books. I'll never really accept her explaination, therefore I'll never really accept Nessie. :/
And I'm going to stop on that note, cuz I could go on and on, rambling about just how crazed her theory is, but I won't bore you any more. LOL

I know, right! LOL She just had to be higher than a kite for that stuff to have made sense to her. (At least, I prefer to think that she was high, and doesn't actually think that idea was good. Cuz if so, that's just sad.)

It's like pretending a character in a book didn't die. If you completely deny it, you can just pretend it didn't happen!
"Yes, it's a bad idea but we can't blame SMeyer! She was just really, really, REALLY high!"
