I have to say... that I am pretty much speechless. The effects are so much better, the direction of the scenes, the lighting, the coloring, EVERYTHING.

Totally agree! Everyone is so excited after seeing it last night. People are thrilled that the makeup is better, the fact that there's no blue tint is a BIG thing with people, and OMG the CGI for the werewolf form looks awesome IMO!
I think that Rob has once again nailed Edward's struggle, and my heart was breaking just from the look on his face, let alone Kristen's.
My only thing is the wigs. While I think that Ashley's looks fabulous, even if it's not the "pixie" cut that Alice should have, I'm soooo not diggin Nikki's, Jackson's, or Peter's. Elizabeth's hair looks a bit better, but I think I liked it in the first movie better. Kristen's hair is fabulous though, love it!!
And O.M.G! I just about died right here in my seat when they showed Jacob for the first time. (I admit it, I squeeled. lol) DA-AMN Taylor is looking fine, and I feel like the biggest perv right now knowing how old he is, but I just can't help it!! LMAO His effort to fit the role for this movie is greatly appreciated. *snickers*

Agree wholeheartedly with both Chris and Cathy! I'm gonna talk more about it and the rest of the MTV Movie Awards.

Okay, just watched it again and got goosebumps and it made me want to re-read the book.
INCREDIBLE!!! Oh, and it's going to be a great year of movies! Harry Potter, Transformers 2, New Moon, My Sister's Keeper....dang. Good stuff!!

Just found this news blurb about the trailer and I thought I'd share. It's kinda amazing, I think.
These fresh stats are astounding. Summit Entertainment has a count of 4.2 million views for the New Moon trailer from MySpace, and another 1.6 million from MTV.com, so that's 5.8 million conbined views in the first 24 hours from its two domestic online launch partners. By comparison, the 3rd (and last) trailer for Twilight received 3.2 million views in its first 48 hours on MySpace, piddling compared to viewership for the sequel's trailer.
